Baby John is a 2024 Hindi action thriller directed by Kalees, a remake of Atlee's 2016 Tamil film Theri. Starring Varun Dhawan in the lead role, alongside Keerthy Suresh (her Hindi debut), Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff, it is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and A for Apple Studios. The film was announced in July 2023 and titled in February 2024. Filming took place in Mumbai and Kerala from August to October 2023. The film's music is by Thaman S, with cinematography by Kiran Koushik and editing by Ruben. Released on December 25, 2024, Baby John received mixed to positive reviews.

Plot:

John, a baker in Kerala, lives with his daughter Khushi and best friend Jackie. When Khushi’s teacher, Tara, crosses paths with a sex-trafficking gang, Khushi becomes a target. John turns violent, reminded of his past by officer Samba. Tara discovers John is actually DCP Satya Verma IPS and he reveals his past. Jackie, Head Constable Ram Sevak, finds out Tara’s true identity is Adhira Verma IPS.

Past:

Satya clashes with politician Babbar Sher after Babbar's son, Ashwin, kills a girl named Amba. Satya kills Ashwin, prompting Babbar to vow revenge. Satya falls in love with Meera, a doctor, and they marry, having a daughter named Khushi. On Khushi's first birthday, Babbar and his men attack, killing Meera and Satya's mother. Satya fakes his death and starts a new life with Khushi.

In the present, Babbar orchestrates an accident targeting Khushi. Satya, with Tara's help, saves her and decides to avenge Meera and his mother. He returns to Mumbai, dismantles Babbar's gang, and kills Babbar. In the post-credits scene, Satya becomes a RAW Agent on a mission with Agent Bhaijaan.
