Plot:

Terry Richmond, a Marine veteran, arrives in Shelby Springs, Louisiana, to post bail for his cousin Mike and buy a truck to start a new life. However, two corrupt police officers seize his $36,000 in cash via civil forfeiture. Despite the money being legitimate, the police refuse to return it, and Terry is told to get $10,000 for Mike’s bail by Thursday.

Terry contacts an old business partner, Liu, for help, but when the money is seized in a police raid, Terry resorts to violent tactics to get his bail money back. He eventually posts bail for Mike, but is detained at the courthouse, where he learns Mike has been stabbed. In exchange for leaving town, Chief Burnne offers Terry $26,000, but Mike dies, leaving Terry determined to expose the corruption.

After a series of dangerous encounters, including a confrontation with Officer Lann and a desperate break-in to retrieve evidence, Terry and Summer uncover a cover-up involving the town’s wrongful detention practices. They plan a swap to recover incriminating evidence but are ambushed. Terry fights off the cops, saves Summer from an overdose, and escapes with her and the crucial dashcam footage.

Pursued by police, Terry uses the footage to expose the corruption. The film ends with Terry, Summer, and a wounded Marston seeking refuge at a hospital, while the incriminating evidence is finally in hand.
